Judge you messed up in your closing statement. Benjamin Franklin was Anti-Slavery at least later in his life and Petitioned Congress for the Abolition of Slavery.

Alexander Hamilton and George Washington freed their slaves!

Not all of the founding fathers were pro-slavery. The founders were born into a slavery system. Not a system they could simply end by writing a law abolishing it. Imagine the trouble they would have had uniting the states if they were to have fought over slavery.

First things first. First get rid of the British, second unite the states, third take care of domestic issues.

The framers were smarter than what you are giving them credit for.

I'm sure the slaves were honored that their freedom was given such a high priority.

History often forgets, all 13 colonies/states were slave holding entities at the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Only one, Vermont, had abolished the institution at the time of the Articles of Confederation. Only 2, Vermont and Massachusetts, were non-slave at the time of the Constitution.

Even at the outbreak of the "civil war", the Union contained 5 slave holding states.

The Judge's closing statements were 100% appropriate and correct. Slavery is the single issue used to cover up the other issues that haunt us even today.

I really have a question. Where does those black slaves in America came from? Are they being sold to white families or their country has been colonized by British? I suck in history.

Until now, slavery has not come to an end.
