04/06/2010 Freedom Watch 100 w/ Lew Rockwell, Ron Paul

Freedom Watch 100 brings back two of the show’s liberty-loving regulars in Congressman Ron Paul, and Lew Rockwell. In the first segment the Judge and Lew Rockwell discuss Obama’s desire to create a domestic version of the American military that is just as “well-funded” as our armed forces. In the second segment the Judge and Ron Paul discuss Obama’s foreign policy and some of the hypocrisy involved.

Lew Rockwell on Obama’s private army?

Ron Paul on Obama’s foreign policy.

    What President Obama means by a civilian based military patrolling our streets. He means citizens trained in "ready" position to assist local emergency personnel in cases of natural disasters instead depending upon our military for those duties.

    We have a civilian based military. It's called the national guard. The guard is operated by each individual state. Unfortunately our government has stretched our military so thin that they are taking the guard from the states!! We have 700 foreign military installations and troops in 130 countries!! This is stupid!! Send the troops away to conquer new lands (oil) and leave your backdoor open. Isn't this what the Romans did? Hmmm. What happened to them? Oh Yeah. They were toppled.

    I love this show, but the opening phrase "your daily dose of liberty" needs to be changed to "your occasional, 1 – 2 day dose of liberty" — unless there are plans to actually make this a daily show, on a regular weekly basis.

    Does anyone know if there's a way to link to the individual videos that are put up here? I can't figure it out.

    I have heard a rumour that the show is going to be upgraded and become more central in Fox programming.

    Steve: If you know anything about uploading HTML to a server (web host)
    you can just use the provided embed video links (found under the videos on this, and every video page on this site). You would simply insert the embed code into a basic HTML page like this:

    <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"&gt;

    <head>
    <meta content="text/html; charset=utf-8" http-equiv="Content-Type" />
    <title>Untitled 1</title>
    </head>

    <body>

    <script type="text/javascript" src="http://video.foxnews.com/v/embed.js?id=4138285&w=400&h=249"></script&gt;

    </body>

    </html>

    You can use the above code, and replace the embed code section with whatever embed coded video you choose. The above code has the the "Obama's Private Army" video. The web page look like this once it is uploaded (except it would play whatever video code you added to it):
    http://shortbrands.com/erase.htm

    If there's a simpler way, perhaps someone else can chime in.

    Paul: I hope the rumor you heard about Freedom Watch being upgraded to become more central in Fox programming is a fact!

    I am surprised that still to this day, Napolitano and Paul are either still don't know or are afraid to say, that these wars along with the phony war on drugs is ALL a result of the capitalist elites lust for power.

    They point out how these wars ONLY hurt our country, then naively ask what are Bush and Obama thinking by getting us into them. Bush, Obama and every other political leader are BOUGHT AND PAID for by the bankers and international corporations.

    The good news is that these elites only have the power that we give them. And all their money and property is just number on paper and in computers, its an illusion. We need to evolve beyond money/property systems to cooperation and sharing of all the world's resources.

    Hmm… Are you a big fan of Freedom Watch?

    I think Napolitano & Paul both know that the wars and phony war on drugs are a result of the NON-capitalist elites maneuvering the arms of government in an attempt to reduce our civil freedoms and economic freedoms (i.e. capitalism), as well as the do-gooders in government who sincerely believe they are protecting the people by limiting some of these freedoms.

    Your last paragraph is essentially an argument to throw out the Constitution, which is what Napolitano, Paul, etc. are vehemently against. To understand why they are against it, maybe start with Locke's Second Treatise, and you might come to the conclusion, as he did, that civil society is created for the the protection of property – a tenet intrinsic to our natural rights. Maybe look Hayek next, who said that capitalism is the natural extension of human cooperation. The concept of property is not opposed to the concept of cooperation. The real issue at hand is freedom vs. force.

    Finally, ask yourself – do you own your body or does the government?

    To my hearing I would say the Ron Paul and Judge Napolitano are constantly saying the war is' the health of the state'. They are always identifying both business interests and power seeking politicians as the prime movers in the pursuit of war. I can not say that this message has been hidden away. It is ever present in what they say and believe.

    The arguements are endless, the analysing of this or that problem make absolutely no difference to the national, or international situation. It is like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic, it makes no difference what they say, the global ship is still going down. The global problems are without number, and they are insoluble, if one was to make an honest assessment of the totality of this worlds problems, it takes us to only one positive conclusion. We are watching the demise of a global corrupt system.

    The man made political monster that is this world is now out of control, and is about to turn on us all with a ferocity that will leave man as rare as refined gold.

    The history of man has been frighteningly consistent, it is War, War, more War, leading to WW1, WW2, and World War 3 is as inevitable as night follows day.

    We are seeing the accumalation of all mans past catching up with him. All kinds of government that man has conceived is on the earth today. His uses and abuses in all fields of human endeavour have now come to fruition on a global scale. Wars>World Wars. Government> World Government. Finance>Global Finance. Everything is now global. All empires of the past left ruins in their wake, and that is what we are heading for; GLOBAL RUIN. Human behaviour in keeping with the record of history is powerful evidence that tells us what the future holds. RUINS.
