It is my experience that entities like Fox are largely technologically illiterate, and depend on the larger world to show them the way, and the larger world hasn't yet been able to "learn" and "realize" that there are better things than proprietary software and formats. So we need to first wish and hope for, and work toward getting everyone else to recognize it as well. It's a major uphill battle, of course.

Personally, I'm simply resigned to the fact that most people are happy being clueless, which is also why the two-party system endures and libertarianism struggles to take hold.

Just as most people don't take charge of their health until something catastrophic such as a heart attack occurs, the citizens of this country won't "wake up" to political truths until after there's been a major catastrophe of some sort. And then like after a heart attack, there will still be a major contingent who still don't get it.

I'm using Firefox(iceweasel) 3.0.6 on Debian, and had some trouble getting this day's shows to work. But they did, eventually, when I went to the "read comments" screen.

Flash really is ending up being far less reliable than other forms. I wonder how long it will take for folks like Fox to realize that there are other formats out there, like OGG, that don't depend upon companies who treat Linux like the red-headed stepchild?

I'm on Linux as well(A Freedom loving OS), and I also can't seem to launch the flash video's properly. The Linux version is 10.0.42.34.

Looking at the diff from the old(working) and new(not working) video's, I don't see anything but the video source ID being different.

diff old new
14c14
<         videoId:'3964903',

<       $(document).ready(function(){ oFoxVideo.playVideoAttempt('3964903', false); });

The Judge needs this show live on TV in Prime Time. Fox would do well to dump Shepard Smith and put this at 7. Even better, dump O'smiley for the Judge.
