The executives have as a prime task to make their companies get thelions share of the inflation money. In a market flush in inflation money, that is a fully honest activity, and deserves to be paid in accordance with results. There's a fierce competition between banks to get to this money, and the executives who manage this best deserve their pay.

The proper solution is to stop the money printing by the Federal Reserve. This would stop the excessive money flow into the financial system (and prevent inflation, cure other ills), and would be a free market approach to reduce the high executive payouts.

I think it has to do with the fact that students of Objectivism believe they can't be friendly and benevolent while still being absolutely selfish and principled. They also may subconsciously hold the "mean, crazy, rude" stigma that a we're taught a selfish person has all throughout our life, and act accordingly.
