Definitely an interesting topic pertaining to the global economy. Every human being is so much concerned on the current status of the world’s economy. Many are worried due to the rise and fall of big companies. This discussion gives us insights how to understand, what to do and what to expect in the coming years.

You said, "many are worried due to the rise and fall of big companies."

I agree with you, but I think it goes way beyond that. We just don't trust government or their decisions anymore, especially when it pertains to the economy. They don't seem to know what they're doing, and they definitely don't seem to take the long term into consideration. A lot of decisions are ego based and are only good for the short term, i.e., the next election.

I wonder how dumb they really are with the economy, because I think that the decisions being made lately are definitely benefiting SOMEONE but that someone is not the same someone as anyone I know.

The monkeying with the valuation of the dollar is on it's last teeter totter for us regular folks if the fed is not very careful over the next 9-12 months elections aside. It seems that it doesn't matter who is in office because they all listen to the same special interest/lobby groups as the last guy…change who can believe in??

@Jason: Your right. The government should create more laws to help our country survive recession. By doing this, they would earn our trust.

You are absolutely right. For the average person this is all that matters. By showing us that they are really concerned of how we'd do during these tough times, they will be able to earn some of our trust.

Trust is very important. They should work hard to gain ours.
