"Hawkish" is way too weak a term for them. Are you aware that they support a nuclear war against Iran? Do a search on Youtube for Bill O'Reilly and Leonard Peikoff. Bill is a calm pacifist compared to Peikoff. Also, read Justin Raimondo's Objectivist Death Cult article online. These guys are lunatics. They strongly oppose a peace candidate like Ron Paul, and they are actually opposed to libertarianism (if it's not based on Objectivism, it's not pure enough for them). I'm very open-minded, but any proximity to the ARI will be used to smear libertarians in the future.

I agree. Besides, if they were to touch on some differences, it could provide some balance – such a debate could only highlight the benefits and wisdom of peace and non-entangling alliances. I think there should be a tad more controversial opinion on the show. It would make it more interesting and who knows, perhaps rubbing elbows with free thinkers would rub off on those who aren't quite up to snuff.

As advocates of liberty, I think we need to be willing to overlook some differences in the views of Libertarian-oriented groups and keep our eyes on the big picture. On balance, I think objectivists and the ARI get things mostly right, especially the all-important individual/property rights and the defense of free market capitalism, even if they are too hawkish on foreign policy for my taste. Fact is, the goal of small government and economic freedom would negate any desire for a belligerent foreign policy anyway.

Mike German is the only reason I don't think the whole ACLU is not just a liberal activist group. I appreciate Ron Paul's honesty about political hopes. Woods and Rockwell are always good as well.

Today's show was all agreement and no debate. Is Freedom Watch preaching to the choir? If Libertarians truly wish to be politically effective, they'll need to include allies with whom they don't wholly agree.
