I am really glad you got Sam on and hope that this is the spark that is needed to show the local courts under a microscope. Please Judge, do a follow up, keep an eye on him and help his legal team determine what else is needed as they are now stating that Sam may not be mentally fit for trial as a stall tactic. If they need to go Federal, please advise his team soon!

Judge, This is a reminder to you of fact that the Supreme Court has very little to do with making case law for the 50 states of the united States of America. Its opinions, while fashionable for the times, have no power or jurisdiction except for the state courts and state law listed in the rules:

PART IX. DEFINITIONS AND EFFECTIVE DATE
Rule 47. Reference to “State Court” and “State Law”
The term “state court,” when used in these Rules, includes
the District of Columbia Court of Appeals, the Supreme
Court of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the courts of
the Northern Mariana Islands, and the local courts of Guam.
References in these Rules to the statutes of a State include
the statutes of the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth
of Puerto Rico, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana
Islands, and the Territory of Guam.

Even the supposed landmark Marbury v. Madison was about the Justice of the Peace position in the District of Columbia. Too much of nothing in the Supreme Court appointments if we follow the law. We should make such a fuss over Japanese Court appointments as well.
